Terms of Service
Last updated May 18, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of LeaseyTenant and any related services. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms — read them carefully.
Acceptance of terms
By creating an account, signing in, or using the service you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are accepting these terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the service. You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or have been previously suspended from the platform.
Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide when registering, for keeping your credentials secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access or any other breach of security.
Organizations, owners, personnel, and tenants
The platform supports several roles, and the responsibilities of each are set within the application:
- Organization owners create organizations and configure properties, units, templates, and payment methods.
- Personnel are users invited into an organization to help manage day-to-day operations within the permissions granted to them.
- Tenants are users associated with lease agreements. They access a tenant-facing area to view their leases, payments, maintenance requests, and announcements.
Owners are responsible for the personnel and tenant records added to their organization and for using the platform in compliance with local landlord-tenant law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the data you upload — including tenant records, lease agreements, contract templates, uploaded PDFs, profile images, announcements, chat messages, and other content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display that content solely to provide the service to you and the people you authorize.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation, including housing, privacy, and consumer-protection law.
- Upload or share content that is fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, infringing, or otherwise harmful.
- Send unsolicited or abusive messages, announcements, or invitations through the platform.
- Attempt to access data that does not belong to you, scrape the service, probe for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation.
- Reverse engineer, resell, or sublicense the service without our written permission.
Third-party services
The service integrates with third parties — for example, Google for OAuth sign-in, transactional email providers, and cloud hosting and storage providers. Your use of those third parties is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their conduct.
Service availability and changes
We work to keep the service reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, modify, or remove features, suspend or schedule maintenance, or set reasonable usage limits. We will make commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by us and our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These terms do not grant you any right in our trademarks or other proprietary materials beyond the limited right to use the service as intended.
Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to accounts that violate these terms, pose a risk to other users or the platform, or remain inactive for an extended period. On termination we will retain or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice, and any contract templates or generated lease agreements are provided as administrative tools — not as legal advice. You are responsible for ensuring that the documents you produce comply with applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us and our affiliates harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, the content you upload, or your violation of these terms or any applicable law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where we are established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree to resolve disputes first through good-faith discussion before pursuing any other remedy permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the application or by email. Your continued use of the service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
